2nd International Postgraduate Symposium: Religious and Social Sciences

Within the framework of the intellectual and social challenges facing the Islamic world, the role of scientific research is becoming increasingly important in offering in-depth analyses and methodological solutions to contemporary issues. In this context, the Faculty of Theology at Karabük University is organizing the 2nd International Postgraduate Symposium, aiming to support postgraduate studies and to create a productive and interactive academic environment.

As the symposium will accept paper submissions from abroad, it will have an international character. It provides, in particular, postgraduate researchers and, in general, all academics engaged in scholarly work with a scientific platform to present and discuss their research. Thus, it aims to contribute to the development of research skills, strengthen academic communication among researchers and colleagues from different universities, and enhance contributions to scientific publications.

Objectives of the Symposium

The main objectives of the symposium are as follows:

  • To support scientific productivity in postgraduate research and encourage the development of research skills.

  • To discuss contemporary issues in Islamic sciences from a critical and analytical perspective.

  • To strengthen a culture of scientific dialogue among students and researchers in an open academic environment.

  • To relate scientific research to the issues of the age and to propose applicable solutions.

  • To put forward scientific recommendations that contribute to the development of postgraduate programs.

The symposium is intended for postgraduate researchers in Islamic and human sciences and accepts studies prepared jointly by students and supervisors or submitted solely by academics. However, in joint studies, presentations in symposium sessions must be delivered by the student.

Participation may take place either face-to-face on the university campus or online via the Microsoft Teams platform, according to the participant’s preference.
